Accessibility statement
I support the principle of inclusive design and I am committed to building websites that are accessible. I have worked with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure that people with disabilities have full and equal access to this site. I believe that taking a best practice approach to accessibility in both code and design will benefit all users of the Web. As Tim Berners-Lee famously said, “this is for everyone”.
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with all modern browsers and assistive technologies. While I have optimised for current environments, performance may be limited on legacy browsers and devices.
Functionality
This site has been designed to work well for everyone. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader
- view the site with reduced motion when specified in your device preferences
Conformance
My aim is to ensure that, as a minimum, this site conforms to WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
If you discover that this site is difficult to use or if you think the accessibility could be improved, please get in touch and let me know how I can make this site better for you and for everyone else.
